The Positive Law Enforcement Interaction Training Program is a free 5-week training course designed to help build trust between citizens and police while educating students on their rights, the criminal justice system, and standard police practices.
Program Goals
- Expand and enrich students’ understanding of their rights under the law, the criminal justice system, and standard police practices and roles in law enforcement
- Increase positive law enforcement and citizen interactions during traffic stops and police encounters
- Provide assistance with internships, career readiness and career placement in law enforcement
Training Includes
- Traffic stops safety & education
- Discussing trauma & building trust
- Understanding your rights
- Networking with stakeholders, law enforcement & criminal justice officials
