Since 2018, the Center for Justice Research (CJR) has been leading the charge of reducing mass incarceration through targeted, culturally-responsive, evidence-supported solutions and strategic engagements. Fast forward three years and the fight to reform the U.S. criminal justice system is at a tipping point. The American conscience has been reignited on the backs of the high-profile lynching of George Floyd, the preventable death of Breonna Taylor, and countless other unwarranted losses resulting from police intervention. The result? A widespread re-examination of the police’s in our society.
