Event Details

This event is hosted by the Center for Justice Research and co-sponsored by Grace-Mar, Houston Police Department, Afro-American Police Officers League, Black Law Enforcement Association, National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, University Criminal Justice Association, National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice, Ti Training, and 21st Century Research & Evaluations. The event features a high-profile panel of experts and community leaders who will share their experiences and dialogue focused on reconciliation. Additionally, local community members, including HBCU students, will get the opportunity to participate in police use-of-force situational scenarios using a virtual simulator provided by Ti Training. Ti Training will gift the simulator to the Center for Justice Research for ongoing community education. There will be time allotted for audience questions and discussion with panel members. Be on the lookout for this timely conversation on strengthening bonds of trust and understanding between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
